Early in 2018 a fellow metalsmith, Boris Bally envisioned selecting 100 metalsmiths from around the world to participate in an anti-gun violence exhibit titled: I.M.A.G.I.N.E. Peace Now. He engaged the police department in Pittsburg, PA. to give him 100 confiscated guns that he then placed welds onto rendering them non-functional. He then invited 100 of us to design an anti-violence piece of art showcasing the gun. I choose to remark on a Bill that was passed by the Iowa House of Representatives that made legal the handling of firearms and ammunition by any State citizen from the age of 2 till death. What could possibly go wrong?
